Make your little boy’s 1st birthday a special celebration with this Blue Duck Party. Attention to colours, patterns and simple party decorations will create the look. Blue, lemon and white are the basis for our styling. Patterns such as chevron, stripes and polka dots were used to add interest. We created a focal point with a cake table and a lolly bar/drinks station so guests could help themselves. Glass fish bowls filled with water and a yellow rubber duck made very simple table centrepieces.
The food you serve really depends on how many adults and children you have attending. If it is more of a family affair a lunch time BBQ can work well but a simpler approach is a morning or afternoon tea where you can serve drinks, cupcakes and birthday cake.
We used plain white party boxes and added a gorgeous personalised thank you tag. We filled them with lemon, white and pink lollies.
You really only need to consider entertainment if you have lots of older children coming along as they will need to be kept busy. If it is mainly one year olds you won’t need organised party games but more some activities such as bubble blowing or a range of baby toys for the to play with.
